A contributor to Free Software since 1979, Bdale Garbee serves as HP's Open Source & Linux Chief Technologist. He is also Chairman of the Debian Technical Committee, President of Software in the Public Interest, and a board member of the Linux Foundation and the Freedombox Foundation. Bdale is also well-known for his technical hobbies, including amateur radio, home shop machining, high power model rocketry, and building amateur radio satellites... many of which include open source projects!
